Introduction

Cut-off wall is a method of installing a rock-fill dam in the ground and can be classified into three types according to materials.
  • 1) Plastic Concrete Wall
  • It is composed of cement, sand, gravel and bentonite by applying to rock-fill dam of dam or lock.
  • 2) Slurry Trench
  • Applied to areas not deep in rock-fill dams, it consists of a mixture of existing soil and bentonite.
  • 3) Cement Bentonite Wall
  • CB Wall is applied to landfill layer, waste layer, etc. and is composed of cement, bentonite and additives to control the curing time.

Select installation method

  • There are horizontal arrangement systems that control the perimeter of the contaminated area and vertical arrangement systems that control the depth of the contaminated area. When applied to the field, the arrangement system is formed by appropriately combining them.
  • 1) Horizontal arrangement system

  • ➁ Downgradient Placement
  • ➂ Circumferential Placement
  • 2) Vertical arrangement systems
  • ➀ Keyed-In arrangement method
     Applied to shielding facilities in impermeable layers such as unsanitary landfills such as waste landfills

  • ➁ Hanging arrangement method
     When controlling lightweight insoluble substances floating in water such as oil, it is applied to shielding facilities in the water permeable layer.
